Peachville Mobile - Privacy Policy (Camera Use)
This page describes how the Peachville Mobile app accesses, stores, and protects any photos or videos captured through your device camera.
1. Information We Collect via Camera
- When you use features that let you scan codes, attach photos to reports, or verify identity, the app requests access to your device camera.
- We only capture the images or video frames you explicitly take; we do not access the camera in the background.
- Media is uploaded securely to Peachville's infrastructure (or trusted third-party storage used solely for Peachville services).
2. How We Use and Store Camera Data
- Images are used to process your request (e.g., documenting maintenance issues, confirming residency). They are linked to your account and apartment record.
- Files are stored using encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized Peachville personnel and automated systems needed to fulfill your request.
- We retain media only as long as necessary to deliver or prove the related service, after which it may be archived or deleted per our data retention schedule.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
- We never sell or rent camera data. Sharing occurs only:
- With service providers (e.g., storage vendors) under confidentiality agreements.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Peachville, our users, or the public.
4. Your Rights and Controls
- You can decline camera access; in that case, features depending on photos or scanning will be disabled, but the rest of the app remains accessible.
- You may request deletion of uploaded images by contacting support (support@peachville.com) and referencing the relevant transaction or issue ID.
- You can review or download your personal data, including stored media, by emailing privacy@peachville.com. We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
5. Security
- We employ industry-standard safeguards (encryption, access controls, monitoring) to protect camera-derived data.
- Despite best efforts, no system is fully secure; we encourage users to report suspected incidents immediately.
6. Changes
- We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. We will notify users via in-app message or email and note the effective date.
